Two days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was held during 21st -22nd February, 2014 at Department of Instrumentation and Control excessively for faculties of Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering. Director of COEP, Prof. A. D. Sahasrabudhe, inaugurated the FDP by welcome speech. Prof. S. D. Agashe, Principal Investigator, Virtual Lab Project, COEP, graced the inaugural function by his presentation on Virtual Lab and Remote Triggered Lab Project and its concept. After inaugural function, Prof. U. M. Chaskar, Prof. D. W. Pandey, Prof. S. L. Patil, Prof. K. A. Bhole, Prof. B. N. Chaudhari, Prof. S. Baka Prof. S. S. Agashe and Prof. S. S. Anasane have presented their respective labs to the faculties. A Skype session was arranged from NIT Suratkal to demonstrate their Virtual and Remote Triggered labs for all participants by Prof. K. V. Gangadharan.
1. Inauguration Photos
A visit to Process Control lab, Micromachining lab, Electric Machines lab and FAB lab was conducted for participants to see the available hardware and facilities for Virtual Lab experimentation in COEP.
2. Lab Visit Photos
Day 2 was started with wonderful presentation of Virtual Technical University (VTU) by Prof. S. D. Agashe. He explained the VTU concept and its features, advantages and use to students as well faculties. Prof. S. D. Agashe, demonstrated Boiler Heat Exchanger and Bioreactor plant control through Remote Triggered Lab. This was followed by the hands-on session where participants explored various virtual labs and experiments.
3. Hands On Seccion Photos
During post lunch session, a discussion on Nodal Center and Virtual Lab Project was held. The Valedictory function of the workshop was held at 3.00 pm. Many participants gave their feedbacks and valuable suggestion. The participation certificates were distributed by the dignitaries.
