A one day workshop on Virtual Labs was held on 4th October 2013 at Atharva College of Engineering, Malad, Mumbai in collaboration with College of Engineering Pune (COEP). A total 65 participants including 35 students and 30 faculties participated in the workshop. The workshop was conducted to get the students and faculty members acquainted with different Virtual and Remote Trigged Labs developed by College of Engineering Pune (COEP). The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. S. P. Kallurkar, Principal Atharva College of Engineering (ACE), Malad, Maumbai. Dr. S. P. Kallurkar, welcomed the COEP team and faculty participants. Dr. S. D. Agashe, Principal Investigator, Virtual Lab Project, COEP, graced the inaugural function by introducing the participants to the philosophy and aim behind the Virtual Labs & Remote Triggered Lab concept.
Workshop was distributed in four basic tracks, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science. Prof. D. N. Sonawane, presented the FPGA and Embedded Systems Lab. Dr. S. D. Agashe presented Industrial Automation, Sensors Modeling and Simulation lab. Hybrid Electronics as well as Biomedical and Signal Processing Lab presented by research scholar working under this lab. During post lunch session, student explored various virtual labs and experiments. The COEP Virtual Lab team interacted with the participants during the sessions to solve query and suggestions to improve the experiments.
The Valedictory function was held at the end of the day and certificates to the participation were distributed by the dignitaries. The coordinator of the workshop gave the vote of thanks. Finally, the Workshop was concluded with the National Anthem.
